Want overnight oats but didn’t make them the night before? This cold oat recreation tastes exactly (or in our opinion, even better) than your 8 hour oats. Whether you want to top it with fresh berries and chia seeds, or chocolate chunks and coconut shreds, you can take this simple breakfast recipe in whatever direction your heart desires!

Serving size: 1

Prep time: 15 mins

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup oats

  • 1 cup dairy-free milk (we like almond milk)

  • 1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup

Toppings:

  • Fruits of choice for topping (we like bananas and raspberries/strawberries)

  • Chia seeds (optional)

  • Unsweetened shredded coconut (optional)

  • Walnuts (optional)

Special equipment:

N/A

  1. Add equal parts dairy-free milk and oats in a small bowl. If you prefer your oats to be dryer, add less milk.

  2. Add honey or maple syrup and mix to combine.

  3. Refrigerate your oat mixture for about 15 minutes.

  4. Top your cold oats with fruits of choice, chia seeds, coconut shreds, and walnuts. Enjoy!
